Heidelberg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, already fascinated the poets and painters of the Romantic period 200 years ago. Today, the city with its harmonic ensemble of castle, Old Town and river, nestled into the surrounding woodland and hills, attracts around 12 million people from all over the world every year. Heidelberg is not only home to the oldest university in Germany, world-renowned research institutions and scientific research based companies

it is also the cradle of German rugby.
Starting an international junior rugby challenge for U12 and U14 teams, the SC Neuenheim 02 revives the tradition of holding rugby tournaments in Heidelberg. Running over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd September 2018, the Heidelberg Try rugby festival will be a great opportunity for the participating teams to play in a competition, meet players from other clubs and countries, and above all to enjoy the game and take its values off the pitch to inspire young people.
